About Me

I am a fully NZ trained (Massey University) Clinical Psychologist, registered with the New Zealand Psychologists Board, and I am also a member of the New Zealand College of Clinical Psychologists (NZCCP).

As well as providing psychological therapy (CBT) and Mindfulnes skills training in my private practice, I work part time for the public health service (ADHB).

My services are grounded in more than 19 years of professional experience in helping people facing physical as well as psychological health problems. This experience spans a variety of roles such as clinical psychologist, rehabilitation counselor and voluntary drug and alcohol counselor.

I also draw on more than 27 years of personal experience and regular practice of mindfulness and related approaches.

I have a strong commitment to training and ongoing professional development, and also take a personal interest in the further development and improvement of existing tools, concepts and techniques for Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Mindfulness-Based Practise.

• Taking part in Dr. Jeffrey Young's workshops about Schema Focused Therapy 2002 in Dunedin, and 2003 in Auckland
• Presenting an action research project about design changes to thought records and other therapy tools at the 2002 NZCCP conference in Auckland
